Remember The Misfits, through its original set up, atmosphere and acting, allows one to break loose from conventional staging through to a new way of viewing theatre : a cinematographic opening, indulging us to make free use of our minds.
While a young cinema director sets fire to all of his reference books, turning his back on the tyranny of the clear-minded chosen few, we see a little girl on stage, having fun with a new toy ( a video camera), filming the inside of her dolls ‘ house, wearing that interested and naïve look on her face, that we so much lack of, as we grow old.

Step by step, we find ourselves on the groundplan of The Misfits ( Huston’s famous film, with Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and Monty Clift ), where it’s clearly made to us that the main characters are the left-abouts of the American Dream.
What is left today of the Grand Far West fantasy ?
Is Fiction reality or Reality a fiction ?
